Highline Extreme is an experienced climbing wall manufacturer, with expert climbing knowledge – a combination that produces innovative, quality design and construction.
From individual 8ft x 4ft panels up to complete turn key installations, our 3-D fixed climbing walls offer infinite variety.

By using hard-wearing birch plywood and one of a choice of surface treatments, we produce fixed climbing walls that are both technically challenging at a variety of levels, and visually striking.

Mobile Climbing Walls

Mobile rock climbing walls from Highline Extreme offer true flexibility, fun and excitement for climbers of all ages – any time, anyplace.
A Highline Extreme mobile climbing wall is hugely versatile, allowing the climbing area and the level of climb to be adjusted depending on users' abilities.

Unlike a ‘lay flat’ portable climbing wall, using our unique three tier stacking system, the Highline mobile climbing tower can be towed into very small or narrow spaces.

Our portable climbing walls are perfect for taster climbing or fun climbing sessions, they are also ideal for training experienced climbers in technical aspects such as leading and belaying. They are also a great way to master climbing techniques such as top roping, lead climbing and abseiling.

Our mobile climbing walls are also great for corporate events and road shows and can be supplied with most company logos in various colours.

Fund-raising? Our portable climbing walls can be fitted with auto belay devices, allowing a large number of climbers with just two supervisors on each climbing wall.

Fixed Skate Parks

Fixed skate ramps, made to your specific requirements. We can advise, design, build and fit a full skate park or individual ramps.

We make skate ramps that are good to ride, of excellent quality and low maintenance.

Our fixed skate ramps usually use a galvanised steel supporting frame (sometimes wooden beams if working on an indoor park)

The riding surface for the ramps can be Skatelite (preferred outside riding surface) or Birch Plywood. Both surfaces are hard wearing and provide an excellent riding surface for any skater or BMX rider.

Highline Extreme can tailor any project to your specifications, from full skateparks (including groundwork) or an individual ramp. Skate ramps of any size can be made or supplied in any combination e.g.

Mobile Skate Park

This revolutionary, skate park means that now no community, however small or remote, need miss the opportunity to experience skate sports.

Mobile skate parks have many advantages for the user and the provider.

The entire portable skate park can be packed into a small box trailer. It can easily be towed by a Transit-sized vehicle. Set-up is a 45 minute operation on any suitable surface, a tennis court, a car park, or for BMX use, smooth grass.

Highline Extreme have also designed a lightweight aluminium framed half pipe available for customers working on a budget!

Mobile Half Pipe

Our half pipe has an aluminium or fully galvanised steel frame with pressure treated birch plywood riding surface. It is commercial quality and would be ideal for anyone who wants to put it up and down the same day, or leave it up for longer periods. The parts can be bolted together to deter tampering or theft (bolting together isn’t necessary - except to increase security).

The ramp is 4.0m wide and 1.0m high. The transition radius (radius of the curved ramps) is 2.0m so it’s easy to ride but tight enough for tricks as well. We could also build it 1.2m high although it would require railings.
As this package weighs only 1000kg (approximately) it can be towed by anyone with a full car (class B) driving license. No more worries about class E driving licenses!

Bouldering Walls

Bouldering Walls are low-height, mini climbing walls, offering a climbing experience that is testing and fun for all ages and abilities.

With no helmets, ropes or experience necessary, bouldering walls are a safe, fun way to experience rock climbing whilst remaining just a few feet off the ground.

Fixed Bouldering Walls

Bouldering walls are mini-climbing walls. At just a few feet off the ground, foam crash-mats, instead of ropes and harnesses, are used to protect clients in the case of a fall.

With no need to 'kit-up' in excessive climbing gear, users can get climbing straight away, allowing a higher throughput of participants.

A fixed bouldering wall is ideal if space for a climbing area is limited, such as at schools or in the corner of a sports hall.

A Highline Extreme fixed bouldering walls can be made to any size and to fit any space, up to a maximum height of 4.5m.

Our fixed indoor bouldering walls are constructed from hard-wearing birch plywood and one of a choice of surface treatments, our fixed bouldering walls have a grid of holes and fixings allowing climbing holds to be fixed in place while people climb. Plus, these can be moved using a key, providing infinite routes and challenges on the same climbing wall.

Panels can be set up a various angles to provide a 3D route with overhanging sections.

We can also provide climbing shoes and bouldering mats.

Mobile Bouldering Walls

Highline Extreme's mobile bouldering walls offer fantastic fun for all ages – at any event.

With no harnesses, helmets or ropes required, everyone can get climbing instantly – anywhere!

Our mobile bouldering walls are 3m high and start at 50m² of bouldering area, offering a variety of boulder climbing angles including overhangs.
Fixing grids in each panel allow routes and holds to be changed to suit different abilities. For users' safety, a full skirt of bouldering wall safety mats is provided.

Wall size can be scaled up to include a bigger climbing area, a roof and a link to a 9m mobile climbing tower, giving 75m² of bouldering area.

Children’s bouldering walls

Highline also produce fixed and mobile bouldering walls that are significantly smaller than full scale bouldering areas. The children’s bouldering walls or ‘baby bouldering walls’ are fantastic for young children and are always massive hits at events!

These portable bouldering walls are made in a triangular design, with steel corner posts holding 3 wooden sheets in place. This gives a total of 150sqft of low level bouldering wall!

Our children’s bouldering wall comes with 40mm thick bouldering mats which come out 1 meter all the way around. These are mainly a precaution, they are not completely necessary as the climbers will never get more than 60cm off the ground

Like our climbing and bouldering walls, the panels are usually grit painted and given a pattern to create a rock effect.

   Children’s traversing walls

The brightly coloured Children’s Traversing Wall makes a wonderful addition to schools and playgrounds. Children love the novelty and the challenge of being introduced to climbing in a safe, fun environment.

Our children's traversing walls are a brilliant way to develop balance, motor skills and confidence.
Suitable for indoor and outdoor venues, our traversing walls are ideal for children's play areas or gyms. They are low-maintenance, with no significant ongoing costs, and can be custom built to meet your needs.
 

Providing the footholds are screwed in at no more than 60cm from the ground, no safety surfacing is required for the climbers and it is not necessary for the wall to be supervised.

The boards that make up the traversing wall can be attached to any load bearing wall on your site.

The traversing wall is made using a triple layered laminate board which allows us to cut through to the middle layer of a different colour (for example,  the yellow in the top pictures) to create a design of your choice. We can provide our own designs such as the lettering seen above, but would be just as happy for you to design your own.

At a reduced cost, we can offer the traversing wall in 18mm high quality birch plywood, this can be finished in any colour and has the option of textured paint (adding grip but occasionally scuffing kids shoes!)

Holds are supplied with the traversing wall, with a wide choice of designs and colours, from traditional climbing holds, to number and letter holds

We have recently developed a new steel framed bouldering wall which stands freely and so can be climbed on all sides. We would be happy, if you wish, to scale down the size or design it for children.

Mobile Freerunning & Parkour Courses

Freerunning (Parkour - sometimes abbreviated to PK) or l'art du déplacement (the art of moving) is a non competitive physical discipline of French origin in which participants run along a route, attempting to negotiate obstacles in the most efficient way possible, as if moving in an emergency situation, using skills such as jumping and climbing, or the more specific Parkour moves. The object is to get from one place to another using only the human body and the objects in the environment around you. The obstacles can be anything in one's environment, but Parkour is often seen practiced in urban areas because of the many suitable public structures that are accessible to most people, such as buildings and rails.

Working with Parkour UK, Highline Extreme has developed a range of equipment that can be used to train people on the basic principles in the sport of Freerunning.

The equipment can set out in many ways, ensuring it can be used with any group, be they young beginners or more experienced practitioners!

Highline’s specially designed flooring panels mean that the Freerunning course can be fitted in place and changed around easily, for example, the bar frame comes in two collapsible sections and simply slots into holes in the floor section, stable and secure!

The course comes with many varying sizes of platforms, boxes and sections which can be attached in ANY order to both the floor section and each other

Other Parkour extras including railings, bars, ‘wall’ sections and ‘running bars’ can also be supplied which also fit into the floor section and onto other pieces.

Small stepping or ‘jumping’ boxes are attached to the floor in any way using the holes on every face!

The boxes and floor are constructed from non-slip, plastic-faced birch plywood. This is lightweight and durable. All boxes and floor panels contain holes on a 150mm grid on all faces meaning they can be configured in an endless variety of ways. The boxes nest inside each other for compact storage and transport.

Computer control (CNC) is used throughout manufacture to ensure perfect fit, finish and seamless assembly!

Our Freerunning equipment is quick to set up and dismantle and has been designed to be accessible to users of all ages.

Training and instructions for use are included in all packages to ensure maximum benefit for participants is combined with maximum safety for all.
